$26k WISH grant enables restoration of Little House

After closing during the 2020 pandemic, Shepherdstown's Little House faced significant deterioration. With a $26,750 grant from Women Investing in Shepherd (WISH), the house is undergoing critical restoration, beginning with lead paint abatement. Project leader Holly Frye emphasized the Little House's rich history as a teaching tool and expressed excitement for its revival as a community resource. Local support includes new furnishings and improvements from residents like Eric Lewis, who also funded the Little Barn’s renovation. The project aims to reopen the Little House as a vibrant space for children and families once again.
