On May 8, Shepherdstown’s Michelle Kwiatkowski, owner of Wild Rose Soap Company, organized a community effort with local homeschool students to pack 60 gift bags for mothers in need. The bags, filled with items like chocolates and toiletries, were delivered to teen moms associated with Young Lives Martinsburg and local homeless shelters. Kwiatkowski's initiative, which also takes place on Veterans Day, aims to instill a spirit of service in the youth involved, providing support during challenging times and reminding those in need that they are not forgotten. This heartwarming project reflects the caring nature of the Shepherdstown community and its commitment to giving back.
