On April 8, 105 sixth-graders from Shepherdstown Middle School engaged with Johnny Moses, a master storyteller from the Tulalip Native American tribe during a session organized by the Speak Story series. This initiative, celebrating diverse storytelling and cultural education, has been enriching the local community for 12 years. Moses, who has shared his native traditions across North America since 1976, emphasized the importance of storytelling in his upbringing and imparted lessons on happiness and cultural heritage, connecting students to the rich tapestry of Native American lore and teachings.
