The Corporation of Shepherdstown is set to enhance its communication with residents through a new Town Communications Plan introduced by communications manager Michael Chalmers during a council meeting on June 11. This initiative aims to streamline outreach via a revamped email system categorizing messages into emergency alerts, weekly updates on town events, and a monthly newsletter. Chalmers, a longtime local resident, also plans to improve the town's website and establish consistent social media processes, highlighting the importance of cohesive branding for the Town Hall’s communications.
