The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown is planning to enhance local tourism by installing a new swing at James Rumsey Monument Park, facing the Potomac River. This addition, which will complement the existing Almost Heaven Swing in Morgan County, aims to attract visitors and boost regional tourism. Proposed by Miss West Virginia 2023, Karrington Childress, the initiative has received enthusiastic support and approval from local committees and organizations, with anticipated funding support from the West Virginia Department of Tourism. The swing would provide a picturesque spot for visitors, encouraging them to capture and share their experiences, further promoting the charm of Shepherdstown.
