The Shepherdstown Opera House has established the Town Run Theater Company, a new community theater group aimed at showcasing local talent through performances. This initiative, sparked by a conversation between co-owner Harriet Pearson and member Homer Speaker, aims to utilize the venue's intimate stage to engage audiences more personally. With artistic director Joe Yates at the helm, the company plans to present its inaugural show, 'Bleeding Kansas,' in May, highlighting relevant social themes. The formation of this theater group not only enhances the cultural landscape of Shepherdstown but also invites community involvement and creative expression.
