In a heartwarming effort to support local education, Shepherdstown resident Pattie Wilmoth has created two-sided quilts for the 'Shares Goes to School!' fundraiser, which benefits faculty at Shepherdstown Middle School and Shepherdstown Elementary School. This year’s event, organized by volunteer Nancy Stewart and founded by Jan Hafer, showcased Wilmoth's sewing skills and raised crucial funds to support teachers' classroom needs. Attendees, including residents from Shepherdstown and Harpers Ferry, participated in a quilt raffle, contributing to a tradition that strengthens community ties while addressing educational resources.
