A free screening of the environmental documentary ‘Single-Use Planet’ will take place at the Shepherdstown Opera House on June 5 at 7 p.m. The film, narrated by Peter Coyote, highlights the links between public health, plastic production, and industry impact on legislation. Following the screening, there will be a presentation and audience discussion, aimed at raising awareness about single-use plastics, which continue to pollute local waters despite recycling initiatives. The event, sponsored by Moms Clean Air Force, encourages community participation and donations to support Town Run Watershed, showcasing the local commitment to environmental issues in the Eastern Panhandle.
