The Spring Festival at Shepherdstown Elementary School, organized by the Shepherdstown Elementary Association, successfully engaged students and families in fun activities while raising essential funds for future school needs. With carnival games, food stalls, and engaging events held on the school grounds for the first time since the pandemic, the event fostered community spirit and support for local education. Principal Jodi Payne highlighted the need for new playground equipment totaling between $150,000 and $400,000 for the upcoming new building, emphasizing the significance of such community-driven initiatives in ensuring student well-being and resources.
