The Appalachian Conservation Film Festival hosted its inaugural Student Day at the Frank Arts Center, attracting over 100 students from local schools, including Shepherdstown Middle School and Jefferson High School. Festival director Hilary Lo emphasized the event's significance in engaging students through environmental filmmaking, while notable filmmakers discussed several award-winning films. Participants explored various environmental themes, including the impact of wildlife, guided by experts from organizations like the Potomac Valley Audubon Society.
