Shepherd University students honed their leadership skills during the 39th Annual Student Leadership Conference held in Shepherdstown on February 8. Themed ‘Sculpt Your Future,’ the event featured workshops focusing on communication, conflict resolution, and professional development. Students could tailor their experience by choosing from various sessions, including boundary-setting and suicide prevention training. Two keynote speakers, Gen. Robert H. Fogelsong and Daniel Caron, shared insights on leadership and dealing with difficult people. This longstanding tradition, organized by the Division of Student Affairs, reflects the commitment to developing empowered leaders in the local community.
