The grant, totaling over $10,000, alongside $9,619 from the Corporation of Shepherdstown, funds significant tree pruning and the planting of 12 new trees, predominantly native species, set to commence in February and March. The initiative aims to improve the aesthetic and ecological aspects of the town, contributing to a more vibrant and shaded environment for residents and wildlife alike.
