Shepherd University has begun construction on a new dining hall and multipurpose building, marking a pivotal development for students in Shepherdstown. Funded by Rep. Riley Moore and former Sen. Craig Blair, this $30 million project aims to enhance campus life by modernizing dining facilities and expanding athletic spaces, with completion expected by June 2026. The new facility will connect residence halls and is anticipated to transform the west campus into a vibrant student hub, fostering continued traditions like midnight breakfasts during finals, as highlighted by university officials and project supporters.
