Sister ACTS Supports Literacy and Community in Ranson

On May 17, Sister ACTS members gathered at Calvary United Methodist Church in Ranson, engaging in a meeting that featured presentations from the Literacy Volunteers of the Eastern Panhandle (LVEP). LVEP's focus on providing literacy tutoring, English classes, and citizenship preparation across local counties was highlighted. The nonprofit received generous contributions, including a $200 donation from Sister ACTS, alongside efforts to collect supplies and stuffed animals for various causes. The group’s June meeting will continue its community support with a focus on recovery and scholarships, showcasing the dedication of local women to community service, as reported by The Journal.
