Snooks Shaved Ice & Soft Serve has opened a new brick-and-mortar store at 788 Foxcroft Ave. in Martinsburg, enhancing the local culinary landscape just in time for the warmer months. Founded by Keith and LaVada Wade, the business evolved from a stand on Shepherdstown Road, inspired by LaVada’s cherished memories with her grandfather. The store is designed to foster community interaction, complete with a welcoming porch area reminiscent of her grandfather's traditions. As they prepare for a busy summer, the Wades are dedicated to hiring students with strong academic and extracurricular records, demonstrating a commitment to local youth and the community's future. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event attended by community members and local organizations, including the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, emphasizing local support for new enterprises.
