The South Jefferson Public Library celebrated Director Dana Jenkins’ retirement after 32 years of dedicated service to the community. From her beginnings in the original library building on Shirley Street to engaging with children during Story Hour, Jenkins has created a lasting positive impact in the area. Her successor, Whitney Jenkins, who has 17 years of experience as the Teen Services librarian, is excited to continue this legacy as the library plans for future expansions. The celebration included heartfelt tributes from patrons, presentations of flowers and gift cards, and a special performance by a barbershop quartet, all highlighting the profound gratitude felt by the community.
