Groh Takes Office as New Prosecutor in Charles Town

Stephen Groh Sworn in as Jefferson County Prosecutor

Stephen Groh was sworn in as the new Prosecutor for Jefferson County on Wednesday, following Matt Harvey's resignation to become the US Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia. Groh, who previously served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, will temporarily hold the position until a replacement is elected. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1993 and is married to Gina Groh, a federal judge. His installation was officiated by Chief Judge David Hammer at the historic courthouse in Charles Town.
