Steubenville student helps team take second place in National robotics competition

Students from Ohio Virtual Academy, including eighth-grader Jonas Pathakamuri from Steubenville, showcased exceptional skills at the K12 National Robotics Competition in Washington, D.C. Their teams, MechTech Mechanics and Mech Masters, each secured second place in their respective grade bands. The experience highlighted the importance of critical thinking and collaboration, essential skills that resonate with local students' educational experiences. The robotics program has expanded significantly, engaging over 130 students and providing opportunities for hands-on learning and teamwork, further enhancing STEM education in the region.
