Severe storms in West Virginia led to the destruction of a historic eagle nest at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, which had captivated local viewers for two decades through its livestream. The 22-year-old nest, home to three eaglets, was dislodged in the storm, resulting in the loss of the chicks. The NCTC, a notable educational organization in the area, expressed condolences to the community while highlighting that the adult eagles were unharmed and had built a second nest nearby, allowing hope for future hatching seasons.
