Wellsburg Student Hosts 'Stride Against Cancer' Walk
West Virginia high school student inspired by late mother’s legacy hosting a walk for cancer awareness

Lorelei Costlow, a senior at Brooke High School in Wellsburg, is organizing 'Stride Against Cancer,' a community walk on July 12 at the high school track. This event honors her late mother, Dr. Stacy Davis, a breast cancer advocate, aiming to raise funds for cancer research and support services. Costlow, the FBLA president, invites students, families, and local community members to join in honor of cancer survivors and to support ongoing battles against the disease. Prize opportunities will be available for teams formed for the walk, which costs $10 per participant.
