On September 16, students from various schools, including Hedgesville High and Musselman High, attended a session of the West Virginia Intermediate Court of Appeals at Shepherd University’s Frank Center. Judge Daniel Greear and his judicial panel aimed to inspire a new generation to consider careers in law through first-hand observation of court proceedings. This session is part of a broader civics education initiative enhancing public understanding of the judiciary, with previous events held at other colleges in the state. The Stubblefield Institute for Civil Political Communications collaborated in hosting this educational opportunity, affirming its commitment to community engagement.
