A resident of Summit Point has been arrested in connection with a road rage incident on June 18 along I-81 in Shenandoah County. Roger T. Chason, 35, was taken into custody by deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and now awaits extradition to Virginia. He faces several charges, including felony attempted malicious wounding and shooting at an occupied vehicle. The incident involved a shooting during a confrontation between a Ford F-150 and a Jeep Wagoneer on the interstate, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. This event underscores local safety concerns and the impact of road rage on drivers in the area.
