In a tragic incident in Summit Point, John Alan Lyons, 71, was charged with the shooting death of his wife while she was on a 911 call. The incident occurred on Sunday night at their residence on Keith Drive. Lyons pleaded not guilty to first- and second-degree murder in Jefferson County Magistrate Court and is currently held without bond at Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg, with a preliminary hearing set for February 20, as reported by The Spirit of Jefferson.
