Photographer Mike Chalmers hosted the 'Meet Me at the Sweet Shop' art show at Evolve, celebrating the legacy of the Shepherdstown Sweet Shop Bakery. The exhibit featured photographs highlighting the bakery's significant role in the lives of Shepherdstown residents and visitors, who fondly recalled meaningful moments spent there. With the beloved bakery now up for sale, Chalmers sought to preserve its memory through his work, drawing emotional reactions from attendees during a lively opening reception attended by around 200 people. Proceeds will benefit Shepherdstown Shares, emphasizing the show's community spirit and connection to local life.
