The Town Run Theater Company has been established in Shepherdstown, offering rich community theatrical experiences at the newly renovated Shepherdstown Opera House. Led by Artistic Director Joe Yates, who has deep local roots and 30 years of experience, the company aims to engage local talent in productions that resonate with historical and contemporary themes. Its inaugural production, 'Bleeding Kansas,' explores critical issues of conflict and identity, set against the backdrop of 1855-56 Kansas. With contributions from founding members who bring diverse artistic experiences, the company promises to enhance the cultural landscape of Shepherdstown and surrounding areas, inviting residents to enjoy quality performances this May.
