Tracy L. Seffers, a resident of Charles Town, has successfully earned the Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) credential from the Music for Healing and Transition Program, Inc. After completing a rigorous 16-month academic curriculum, she is set to undertake a 9-month practicum at local medical facilities. Seffers offers therapeutic music on the handpan and her voice, applying her skills to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, as a certified end-of-life doula, she provides compassionate support, particularly to veterans in their final moments, through her work with Hospice of the Panhandle and the VAMC-Martinsburg Palliative Care unit. This initiative underscores the importance of holistic care in the community, as highlighted by The Journal.
