Volunteers needed for Point-In-Time homelessness survey

MARTINSBURG — Local agencies, alongside the West Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness, are organizing a vital street count of homeless individuals in the area. From January 29 to 30, volunteers will survey the homeless populations in Berkeley, Morgan, and Jefferson counties, including towns like Charles Town and Ranson. Last year's count recorded 27 individuals experiencing homelessness in Jefferson County, but local case managers believe the actual number may be higher. Volunteers are urgently needed to assist with surveys and collect essential items to support the homeless community.
