Locust Hill-area teenager helps assist neighbor in life threatening condition

A local high school senior, Brandtley Lawson from Washington High School, played a crucial role in the rescue of his neighbor, Claude Jones, who was found unconscious on August 15 due to the heat. Noticing Jones’ lawnmower unattended and the garage door open, Lawson returned hours later to check and discovered his neighbor in distress. After quickly calling his mother for help, they contacted emergency services, showcasing the strong community ties and quick thinking that define social responsibility in the area, as reported by The Spirit of Jefferson.
