A $26,750 grant from Women Investing in Shepherd (WISH) will facilitate the restoration of the Little House in Shepherdstown, which has been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic began. This historical structure, built in the late 1920s as part of a class project to engage young students, requires extensive renovations, including lead abatement and roof repairs. Local resident Eric Lewis has also contributed by repainting the Little Barn with nontoxic paint. The project aims to ensure the Little House becomes a safe and engaging space for children and families once again, enhancing community ties and educational opportunities in the region, as reported by The Shepherdstown Chronicle.
