In December 2024, West Virginia saw a total of 843 new business registrations, with Monroe County leading the growth rate at 1.37%. Notable contributions came from Wirt, Mason, Wetzel, and Morgan Counties. Jefferson County also made significant strides, ranking fifth in total registrations for the month, with 43 new businesses. Kanawha County led with 104 registrations. Over the past year, the state registered 13,518 new businesses, with Raleigh County exhibiting a remarkable 17.97% growth rate.
