The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) is collaborating with local organizations, including the West Virginia Rivers Coalition and Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services, to host community meetings addressing the concerns of PFAS contamination in drinking water in the Eastern Panhandle. Residents from towns like Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, and Martinsburg, where testing has revealed these hazardous 'forever chemicals' in water supplies, are encouraged to participate and learn more about the potential health risks associated with PFAS exposure, as reported by WV News.
