WVU Medicine Launches Colon Cancer Screening Initiative in Ranson

In recognition of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, WVU Medicine is promoting early detection with at-home colon cancer screening kits available for purchase in Ranson, Martinsburg, and Berkeley Springs. For $25, residents can obtain a FIT test kit during selected dates in March, highlighting the importance of screening for those aged 45-75 or those at higher risk. Additionally, the Living Well Chronic Disease Self-Management Program will commence on March 11, offering a six-session workshop designed to support individuals managing chronic conditions, while various health activities, including blood pressure screenings and creative arts events, are being organized, fostering community health in the region.
