ZaBarr Jones, honored as an Unsung Hero by The Journal, received a Quilt of Valor during his visit home for Christmas. Originally from Jefferson County, he serves at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and was unable to attend the formal quilt presentation ceremony due to military duty. The quilt, presented by representatives from the Quilts of Valor Foundation, symbolizes support and gratitude from the community. As a public affairs specialist and former infantryman, Jones expressed appreciation for the recognition of his service. His family celebrated the occasion as he prepares for a deployment to Korea in six months.
